  • In general, I would say that torture is immoral. But it some cases, it's ok. Let say you are in a "24" type of situation where there was an immanent threat to america. Would you torture? OF COURSE!! It would be stupid not to. Torture is not wrong if you are doing it to protect your people and you KNOW they have the information that you need. Besides...they define stupid stuff like sleep deprivation as torture. I guess my college tortured me for 6 years then.

  • @BMIStark asked "Would you torture?"

No. A far better option would be "Informed Interrogation Approach", derived from the cumulative experiences, wisdom, & successes of operatives in the military, intelligence, & law enforcement community. The approach leverages knowledge of a detainee's mindset, vulnerabilities, & culture, together with using intelligence already known about them. The approach has been proven to work quickly & effectively, by outsmarting & manipulating the detainee.

  • @StargateMonkey ... Do you know me? My opinion are based on FACTS and my point of view.. but instead of you trying to put your point across, all you can come back with is an allegation that I was not in the Army?...if that's the best you can do? Then you are a pathetic individual. How about giving us the lottery numbers instead of guessing what you obviously have no clue about? Oh yeah.. let me give a shot at your rational...I definitely know YOU have never served this country!

  • @tarawa1220

You'd be better off settling this in the form of a vlog, documenting your service, and send it off to StargateMonkey via a private video message if you truly care what he/she believes. But arguing and insulting each other here about it is ridiculous.

  • @tarawa1220

Informed Interrogation Approach (found in the Army Field Manual) has been used for decades & has proven to work quickly & effectively, & is far more reliable than torture techniques such as waterboarding. The approach (derived from the cumulative experiences, wisdom, & successes of operatives in the military, intelligence, & law enforcement community) works by outsmarting, outwitting, and manipulating the detainee. It doesn't involve giving them tea & crumpets & playing nice :)

  • "We don't torture." How precious.

  • Yeah, we just kidnap people from other countries and make them our slaves and nuke cities and kill hundreds of thousands of people because we lost a military base. Anyway, that is a dangerous mindset shep has. I still like him though.

  • @BMIStark I bet you would be throwing a fit if the Iranians were torturing US citizens. Such a double standard. No matter. Our nation is so broke it won't be able to conduct wars anymore. The rest of the world will sigh a great relief when the, Oh so morrally superior, preemptive war machine comes to a grinding hault. Then the Chinese can occupy our 3rd world nation and we will feel just like the people in Afghanistan when laser guided bombs hit our neigbors house. The founders would be ashamed.

  • @tomdabom713 I would love to waterboard all you basterds that are so intent on breaking the Constitution by torturing people who we havent declared war against. Do you even know why the terrorists hate us? Because we are over there, on their land, propping up dictators. Look up operation Ajax. We supported Saddam against Iran.. We funded that taliban at one point. We helped Gaddafi, Musharaf and Mubarak stay in power. We are no better than the British empire that opressed us 200 years ago.

  • I like how Shep Smith sits back like "Well, I just lost my job. Might as well relax for now."

  • @BMIStark

Wow... Amazing the absolute idiots you can find on the internet, seriouly, torture is "immoral", you fucking IDIOT, if torture was "immoral", then why would God torture people for ETERNITY who refuse to accept his son? Torture is God's will it is not immoral, I would love to torture you and see if you still think it is immoral, you absolte FAG.

  • I would love to torture some terrorist or bomb mastermind....i would laugh in their agonized faces and watch their deserving asses die....

  • Ugh, civilians.
