Lucid dreams are dreams in which you are aware that you are dreaming. Researcher LaBerge discusses techniques for inducing lucid dreams as well as some practical applications. These include anxiety reduction, practicing various skills, creative problem solving and exploring decision scenarios.

Stephen LaBerge, Ph.D., is a research associate at Stanford University's sleep and dream laboratory. He is founder of the Lucidity Institute in Palo Alto, California, and is author of Lucid Dreaming and Exploring the World of Lucid Dreams.

  • Something thats even crazier then lucid dreaming is feeling like your in a dream when you know that your not. That is some weird shit. I also remember like 4 or 5 different dreams a night but i rarely have lucid dreams anymore.

  • Man, this sounds like some Matrix type stuff

"It's one thing to be aware of the fact that you are in a dream, It's another thing to be aware that you're caught up in various layers of logic that you can stay in or not as you choose."

  • Stephen Laberge seems like a cool guy, but for some reason I think he has a really creepy stare, at least in this interview. He has this constant thousand mile stare. He's still awesome though, lol.

  • @vangogh929 whats your definition of "reality"?. its fixing to change really quick. so you corrected a sentence anybody could have made a mistake on, good for u. < just to piss you off.

  • @ButteryAssAbel maybe you should come over to reality long enough to learn how to use the words "are" and "our"

  • imagination is are only weapon in this war against reality.

  • @LaraCroft1994 ever i wanted, for me i would compare it to a 3D computer simulation, say you have a 3D city, i can go forward, backward, whichever way i want, fly through the city and create instantly along the way, i can be me or a different person, when im a different person im still me in a different body, i just see things in a different perspective, basically im totally free, any scenario i want i make happen. unfortunately i wouldnt know how to tell someone how they can do

  • @LaraCroft1994 it really started for me when i would try to astral project, i would tell myself over and over again before i went to sleep "your body goes to sleep ur mind stays awake" thats a lil mantra i would tell myself. of course astral projecting is a whole different topic, but once i took control of that aspect, i would notice that when i was asleep "not astral projecting" but dreaming i was totally aware of what was going on, i could create what ever i wanted and do what
