Quarry location and quarry material has reference to Old bridge /Stari Most/ that was originaly built by by Mimar Sinan and Hajrudin. Year of construction: 1566; Beginning of the destruction : 8th May 1993 The day of destruction of Old Bridge: 9th Novembre 1993

From 2nd to 30th July 1997 a workshop Mostar 2004 was held for the first time. The topic of the workshop was the reconstruction of Old Town in Mostar. The workshop Mostar 2004 was created and initiated by Prof. Amir Pasic, an architect from Mostar, who had started some activities in the IRCICA during the war in order to attract the focus of that organization on Old Bridge and Old Town in Mostar.
The organizers of the workshop are the City of Mostar, IRCICA together with UNESCO, United Nations Development Program - New York, Aga Khan Trust for Culture - Geneva, World Monuments Fund - New York

GELD possesses a quarry area in Bosnia. The most spectacular object built of that quarry area is the UNESCO-heritage Stari Most the Old Bridge of Mostar. LGA Bautechnik GmbH laboratories /TÜV Rheinland Group/ were responsible for the material analysis for that bridge. LGA has a personal knowledge of the Mukosa plot owned by our company GELD.
After the site and document examination LGA confirmed that:
-the stone source of GELD exactly corresponds the Mukosa typical quality of stone types locally named Tenelija and Miljevina
-the stone quality and properties matches those of the stones used by LGA for the Old Bridge project
-the stones are adequate for building, decoration, carving and landscaping and any as-sociated architectonical use, subject to correct design works
-an adequate qualitative quarry operation is established in Mukosa delivering good stone quality
-quality assurance is possible for Tenelija and Miljevina blocks by easy understandable visual methods and the proper cut area in quarry wall are assessed visually for crack patterns etc. prior to stone extraction
-investigation works prior to site opening has been executed in well founded quality and profound local experience by engineers well known to LGA.
