The Lewinski scandal was NOT an "affair". Bill Clinton had authority over an employee and (though concentual) exploited her. As such Gov Sanford's assessment is correct. If Clinton were a CEO he could clearly lose his job.
Not so Sanford. You may disagree with his choices, but his motivation was world's apart from Clinton's. Rightly or wrongly, Sanford gave up his family and political career because he fell in love.
Clinton was a creep and sacrificed nothing.

Sanford is an IDIOT. Good riddance.

NO. Only Senators vote for impeachment. The House of Representatives has no vote for that.

Those who promote Sanford's impeachment liken it to a serviceman dereliction of duty or desertion. If we impeached every politician for that then BUSH should have been arrested, tried and then shot or hung for desertion in time of war during Vietnam. It is true that Sanford deserted his state and office without designating a substitute to go to S. America for adultery and that alone is an impeachable offense. But since he is a civilian it is not a capital offense like BUSH was,

Tell me about it!
I'm with him all the way on that!
If he gets caught having an affair, then I'll become a hypocritical university lecturing communist

Would it really be that hard to click a few keys on a keyboard and find out?

Funny that Essie Mae resembles Thurmond. His & Nancy's children never really resembled him. Hmmmm. By the way, that's how blacks got their "education" back then.

I'm inclined to agree with the premise that it's wrong for a high official to mislead the public, although the Clinton example is far, far less detrimental to the public interest than virtually everything the Bush administration did.
The problem with political sectarianism though is that people will always throw moral equivalence back at you.
I think if an official commits perjury then he/she should not be in office; the thing is, it really shouldn't have gone that far over oral sex.

What I can gather from all I have read, yes.
I never feel sorry for exposed hypocrites. Fuck Mark Sanford. I am glad his family left him.

"The war in Iraq was justified and correct. " Ok, Conversation's done. You're obviously on crack, heroin, and LSD if you actually believe this to be true.
The facts are out, buddy.
Bush ADMITTED that we attacked Iraq to defend his "Daddy"<---His EXACT word choice. "I mean, this is the man that tried to kill my daddy." Look it up, fuck.
There never were any WMDs and the "facts" that you state about conditions in Iraq are irrelevant.
