During WWII the americans locked the American Japense people into internment camps for their own prodection, even so many dead of disease and lack of space.

This is a pictorial Essay I did for my World History class about a internment camp named Manzanar. The song on it is Dead Boy's Peom from Nightwish.

  • Nice video and I know it was a tragedy but you must remember the American's feelings after the sneaky Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour. Also, how did the Japanese treat the Chinese or P.O.W's during the war..........a lot worse than the images in your video!

  • oh yes, I completely understand your points but this was just a "essay" I did what... two years ago for a class so I couldnt really bring up everything. It was horrible how they bombed us and how they treated the Chinese and dont even acknowledge it anymore!

  • I'm very impressed. Thank you for sharing

  • Why thank you! And your welcome!

  • A majority of people placed in camps were American citizens who had no allegiance to the Japanese empire. Why were their Constitutional rights striped and why were they placed behind barbed wire without any due process? Why didn't Americans of German and Italian decent get the same treatment? Also, Japanese Americans living in Hawaii or the East Coast were not evacuated and placed behind barbed wire. This part of American history is a very important lesson about what it means to be American.

  • like the fuckin nazi's this. no different

  • Oh, really never heard of that! I'll have to ask my teacher about when we study WWII this year! Thanks for the info!

  • "Go for Broke!" was the motto for the 442nd Regiment. It means to risk it all.

  • I dont know what that means (sorry!!) and sorry to hear that!!!
