Kicking off the first-ever Electronic Entertainment Expo ( E3 1995 )
Sony was preparing the official North American launch of their first
video game console PlayStation. Sony gave their keynote speech about
the pending collapse of the 16-bit video game platform due to its
processing limitations. Sony was about to show the world they were
serious about the interactive gaming business.

- Yes, it was the famous $299 speech. But you heard the trade show crowd. They loved it ! And then the journalist wrote about it in the major gaming magazines, at the time ^_^

I don't know if there is a reason. But it seems to me, that 60 fps, isn't that much of an achievement :P? But I guess it is the best suitable for humans, or we can't see a difference in higher fps.

I think PS1 had pretty awesome exclusives as well. But I didn't like the action direction Capcom went with survival horrors at the end of PS1's life cycle. Re 1 and Dino Crisis used to scare the shit out of me. I prefer slow gameplay where you have to run from the danger rather than shooting everything in your way. Can't believe Dino Crisis 2 become platinum in Europe when the first game was the best. Their next-gen title Deep Down seems to be a mix of RE and MH.
