froyo doesn't need task killers. by using task killer you cause more harm than good (higher battery usage). You will save much more power if you switch that live wallpaper off for example

Yeah, android automatically puts programs to sleep. Just like you wouldn't turn off your computer while it is in sleep mode, nor should you kill apps that are sleeping. You will just waste battery and processor power booting them back up. In fact android is so smart that it will even put apps into a hibernate mode when appropriate. This means it kills them itself but in a way where you don't loose data. If you use task killer you are wasting battery!!!
