This week a United States senate panel voted against a government run public insurance option. As the debate over healthcare reform heats up in the United States, doctors from across the country came to the steps of the White House to demand a single payer system that would give all Americans affordable health insurance.

  • Please listen to the majority of voters, Republican, Democrat and independent:

We are dying of cureable illnesses, by the many, many thousands each year in the United States, and we voted together the way we did to get improvement in our healthcare system. Please stop the carnage and give us what we elected you for, by voting together as we did: A STRONG PUBLIC OPTION, that is not crafted to self-destruct, and that is not intentionally hamstrung for insurance companies' bottom lines.

  • The current congress was voted in by Americans, not liberals, not Democrats, nor conservatives or Republicans alone.

The American people voted them in wanting the best for the country. We do want access to healthcare. We do not want to be throwing each other under the bus.

  • these doctors are absolutely correct. those of you who are dedicated to your health insurers remember this. when you have serious health problems or when you can't get coverage because of a pre-existing condition then perhaps you will change your minds.

Or perhaps if it hits your Mom, Dad or children then ?

  • Mad that we have the best medical technology in the world? We cannot expect that such quality techonolgy is cheap. In addition, individuals do not have the right to have other individuals pay for their care. So why then is it okay for the government to simply be a middle man in the same situation? The idea of being forced into paying for other people's health care is dead wrong. The beauty of capitalism (almost dead in the USA) is that those who work hard are rewarded and there are no sponges.

  • A basic human right? Move to Canada as it's in their constitution. How about the people's right to decide what their money should be spent on? Or are you living at home and letting mommy pay your bills?

  • 0:23 I bet she's mad with her 6 figure income... but no, its not about profit.

Lower your costs so insurance companies can lower theres.

HSA's are the answer....take responsibility for your own health spending.

  • Contact your politicians.

  • Stop trivializing this problem. Every month is worse than September 11th.

  • Please use your intellectual abilities to make the situation better.

  • Harvard study: 45, 789 people a year die BECAUSE they have no heath care coverage. Every month is worse than September 11th. We need a strong Public Option. Americans are living this nightmare and Republicans, Democrats and Independents voted together to put in place a huge majority of Democrats in the House and Senate to get relief from this deadly war against us. We expect you to come through for us.

  • LATEST POLLS!!!!!

55% OPPOSE the health care plan by Democrats

42% FAVOR the health care plan by Democrats!
