- Lumière and Company (1995, original title "Lumière et Cie") was a collaboration between 41 international film directors in which each made a short film using the original Cinématographe camera invented by the Lumière brothers.
Shorts were edited in-camera and abided by three rules:
1. A short may be no longer than 52 seconds
2. No synchronized sound
3. No more than three takes

It is one shot, his method of getting around this obstacle was to close the lens,

then move the camera to a different set very quickly then open it again, but its running the whole time.

  • yeah! another world!!

  • i see his film had more in it and alluded to more of a story, but wat the fuck was going on?

  • @semiazaz Brilliant that he was able to film multiple scenes in one shot in this way!

  • @semiazaz

I'm pretty sure it was multiple sets with a rotating platform with the camera on it in the middle of them. He probably merely rotated the platform to face another set.

  • I want to hear more of him talking.

  • Probably the best.

But he cheat or what? it didn't supose to be a one shot shortfilm?

  • Of course, David Lynch's was the only one that killed.

  • Bravo...Thanks...
