At the OTC show in Houston...Andy Rahden was showing off his new iPad 3G. We talked him into running Inventor via his iPad on the flat screen in the Autodesk booth.

Practical - No. Fun and cool - Hell Yes!

  • nice demo of Real VNC server /client.ipa

  • As others have pointed out, the iPad is controlling a PC where Inventor is loaded and actually running.

    HOWEVER,

there is no reason that Inventor can't run on an iPad.

    I have a Fujitsu Lifebook B142, 800x600 8.4" screen, 300MHz CPU, 96MB SDRAM, 6 GB HD and loaded with Win 98SE.

It is running Inventor Rev. 6, the last version that run on Win 98SE. No problem!

  • It isn't actually Inventor on his iPad, he is just using a PCanywhere like function.

  • @illbrain58
