Super Mario Galaxy 2 Playthrough (Part 28)

It's finally here!! I know we've been waiting for it a long time now: Super Mario Galaxy 2! The sequel to the epic platformer adventure game that's more difficult than the first! Best of all, I'm playing LIVE as well as blind! (Not literally of course, I'm watching the screen!) That's right, you all can see how I do the very first time playing! Oh boy, figuring stuff out! No matter what galaxy it is, if you get a comet metal in that galaxy a comet will apear.

@MareCat57 Not true. Some galaxies with Medals don't have comet missions, like Slimy Spring and Honeybloom.

I don't really think it is just throwing it away. It almost seems more like a.... re-telling, showing what would have happened if he didn't meet Rosalina.

@PlayingWithMahWii Actually, this is the follow up story, If you remember at the end of the first game, the universe gets reset and everything goes back to normal but different (nothing ever repeats itself the same way) and at the end of the credits you can see a scene where Luma is left behind on earth, and that's why it's right there at the beginning of SMG2 and get's fond to Mario when he founds her; but since everything in the universe "reset", Mario and everyone else dont remember anything

@KajiDyei That doesn't explain why Rosalina doesn't know Mario in SMG2. Rosalina's the only one that remembers at the end of SMG1.

@PlayingWithMahWii Yeah well, it's not perfect, but I think it makes sense (at least in my mind LOL). It gives that kind of feel of what you get in Zelda games with the story between games, although it seems to be a continuous story it doesn't fits perfectly (even if you not a Zelda fan i think you may understand). Btw I'm watching all of this walkthrough, Nice work :D. At first I though you where the same guy from NintendoCentral walkthroughs (you kind of talk familiar).

So apparently, in this game, electricity and fire to Yoshi are like water to Yoshi in Super Mario Sunshine. He dies instantly

Nintendo wanted to focus on the gameplay, not the story. But I know what you mean. I wish they could AT LEAST have Rosalina say at the end, "It's nice to see you again, Mario." If they said AT LEAST that, I'd be completely satisfied. I mean, come on! Focusing on gameplay or not, you can throw in those couple of words! But bad storyline or not, Mario games rule!

I don't think that they forgot everything that happend in SMG1, because if you remember, at the end of the first game there was the cry of the new born Luma's and Rosalina said "Do you hear that? that is the cry, of reborn stars (lumas). All stars (lumas) that die are reborn into new, wonderful ones!" or something very, close to that if that's not her exact words. So I don't think that they FORGOT but Mario and Peach just thought it was a dream, but bowser remembered it wasn't! that's my theory.
