Glenn Miller wrote an arrangement of "Tuxedo Junction" that was much slower and funkier and which was much more popular, going all the way to no. 1. Glenn Miller also wrote a funky trumpet part not found on the Erskine Hawkins version. Glenn Miller was one of the greatest arrangers and composers of the Big Band era. And it showed on songs like "Tuxedo Junction". Buddy Feyn later added lyrics to the song. Feyn also wrote the lyrics to "I Dreamt I Dwelt in Harlem", which reached no. 3 in 1941.
I played with my orchestra

@Pinker33
A fantastic tune and amazing trumpet player - band leader - composer, and orchestra ! I bet you and your orchestra really enjoyed playing it.
