Father's Day is coming up, and if your dad is like mine, he is hard to shop for. This week we have a Father's Day Gift Guide and give a tribute to dad in our Grilling 101 episode. We give you some universal grilling tips that will help you get started this summer, and show you how to cook your first dish. Normally I love this stuff. But seriously, I was disappointed that Meg went to Lowes, the corporate giant. Why wouldn't you support local hardware stores?

I appreciate the mom & pop shop support, and totally agree. In every single episode, I say if you can't recycle, buy at your local hardware store. But if you are going to shop at a big business, which a lot of people inevitably do, they should know of the corporations who are making a change. Ideally, RECYCLE & DON'T BUY, but most of this country doesn't think like that yet, so we have to encourage them to at least shop smart.

It's important to encourage the changes business are making.

Don't hate it! Make it a memorial to your father. Do something to keep him alive. Make a scrapbook add a page every year with written and photo memories of your Daddy. You are very blessed to have had a Dad. Mine may still be alive. But, drugs n alcohol got in the way of him being a father to us. Please cherish n be grateful 4 what u had. Make it a HAPPY MEMORIAL. Yay for grilling. I was always very afraid of grilling with charcoal, but this summer I worked in the kitchen at a camp and I had to grill hot dogs once a week on a charcoal grill. I got used to it, and now I want to get a charcoal grill for home! XD
