An end to an era like this deserves a better quality video so here it is again (edited) hopefully in HD....

With only a few days left in traffic it was time to say farewell to the last remaining Valenta power car - 43 123.

We board Grand Central's 1A60 11:27 Kings Cross - Sunderland service for a trip up a snow covered ECML to York. 43 123 is now named 'Valenta' 1972 - 2010, many thanks to GC for that one!

The departure from York was filmed with the added bonus of two camera angles which turned out to be a good move as the offside shot got blocked by a class 66 hauled freight. To finish we see a pair of DRS 37s heading off to Newcastle.
