MSNBC lies again. This time they selectively edited a video to make Romney seem like an out of touch elitist, but the cabler removed all Romney's actual points and essentially lied about what he said at a campaign stop in Penn. on June 18.

We have ourselves to blame. The media makes it IMPOSSIBLE for a lot of candidates to seriously consider running for office. THe media should not vet candidates. The American people should do their homework.

Uploader of this video doesn't get the point. It's not "Wawas". It's "Wawa". Anybody in this area knows that it's singular. Then he proceeds to talk about the "touch tone keypad" to get a sandwich which is something that is so obvious that we've all done. It's laughable. MSNBC cut the footage because they only have limited airtime and they need to maximize the appeal to their liberal audience. Fox does the same exact thing with their conservative audience. I wouldn't call it lying.

No you miss the point. Yes people from this area know it is singular and we all know how to order a sandwich from there. What Mitchell did here was try to portray him as this out of touch guy who doesn't even know how to do that when really he was trying to relate to the middle class. They then had a discussion about how he was out of touch. I could see doctoring the video as a joke but they legitimately reported on something entirely different

From watching it in context, I'm still not really sure if he was referring to how "amazing" the touch-tone keypad was, or how "amazing" the fact that sandwich shops have to compete state-to-state is. I would hardly call this lying or dishonesty.

I'd say "Wawa Gate" has at least 20x more honesty in reporting behind it than the "You Didn't Build That!" smear.

You either tell the truth or you lie, there is no risk with telling the truth but if you are caught lying you risk credibility and no one will trust what you say in the future, I am not voting for Romney but right is right, the media needs to stop this deception..

The difference actually isn't that big. And Romney still looks like a goddamn fool trying to talk to constituents he looks down upon.

Attn: Aazgan - Mass. had 4% unemployment - basically FULL employment - at that time. If everyone is working then few new jobs are created! You've got the 47/50 right, but you don't have the right REASON.

Romney, you did learn how states compete! When your ass got handed to you in Massachusetts! 47TH out of 50 in job creation LOL.

Romney = worst presidential candidate in this country's HISTORY.
