Aproved Euro 7

@43JohnDeere ....they are supposed to be a 2 cycle diesel aren't they?
-
When it firing it sounds like my dads old Massey Ferguson 97. That thing knocked like that when starting, may have had something to do with how much ether was required to start that tractor

Love it. Gotta keep these old beauties alive as they are the ancestors of our modern engines.
Thanks for sharing it here!

The engine is diesel, not propane. The propane tank is for air to start it with and the orange thing to the right is the portable compressor. I saw this engine run many times and knew the owner Monk Ivacek before he died. I can assue you it's diesel.

@Layne205 Thank you for the correction and it is noted. I am ashamed I did not take the time to properly inform myself on the matter. Thank you very much.

Wow what a smoke, what fuel is used cooking oil.
lexpee 9 months ago
@lexpee It is actually run on propane but, the smoke I believe is oil poured in each cylinder for storage purposes since it mainly runs once a year and takes a few minutes to burn off.

@43JohnDeere Aint this a diesel engine ?
TheElectricnoob 9 months ago
@TheElectricnoob It was running on propane in this video. I would welcome any Fairbanks Morse authorities to comment on the fuel type used for this engine in its' original application.
