Going through the same thing. SO SLOW!!!! Unbelievable! Very disappointed. Takes forever to get even one photo backed up.Shocked because everyone spoke so highly of this service.

Rather than go with one of those software driven remote data backup
services, I'd check out absorb.com - they have a little device
they mail you that sits off of your network, downloads all of your
files and then uploads them at whatever speed your Internet connection
can handle. This is a really good setup too because if you have a
failure on your end you can download your data about 50 times faster
cause its local.

I just did the math, at the speed you have a backup 500GB would take at least 26 days! also 1.8mbps is read as 1.8 megabits per second.
