Progress in Iraq ?

An illegal war against a nation which did NOT attack us, has now brought about the predictable results: internal civil war within Iraq, MASSIVE civilian casualties in that nation, with hundreds of thousands dead, not counting the wounded and no end in sight. A war which is now approaching it's 6th year, longer than WW2. Two million refugees. Over 4,000 US troops dead, at least 76,000 wounded or maimed for life, with no recourse. This is a war for profit and for resources, plain and simple. The war on 'terror' is a sham. We Americans need to wake up to the fact, that renewable energy sources are all around us, and that we have been LIED to, for the sake of keeping the short-term profits of multinational corporations alive and well, while ordinary human beings, the world over, are nothing but abstract numbers to the global financial elite.

What a joke,then you hear the people who claim that this IS NOT an occupation..well,what the hell is it? first of all trees are a CASH CROP which means that they grow it to cut it down. They don't go cutting down innocent rain forests. Second of all explain unjust war. are we not justified in trying to bring happiness to the people in Iraq?

I agree with you about what's been done, but I'm afraid you may be too optimistic about their day coming. This police state is so overwhelmingly powerful, with even small-city police forces militarized, that I don't know how people can change anything. Not to mention that a lot of people who are not among the elite think everything's fine as long as they can drive an SUV and watch "Cops" on the HD TV.

Every man/woman who planned this and led us into this travesty..should be tried,convicted and executed! Just my feelings about it. The current administration is as evil as any government or empire in history. That includes all the Roman rulers,Hitler,Amin,Stalin,Nero­..our current government is on par,if not worse,than any of the aforementioned! I am ashamed to call myself an American. We need to take back this country and show the world that some of us are DAMN GOOD PEOPLE!
