Heres a new song thanks for listening :)

I pass the drunks lining up on 5th avenue
Stomachs hurt from the pain drink does to you, bleeding hearts
Always seems to be something in the road
Overcome it but it always feels so slow, losing time

He wakes up
They make up
He drinks up
They break up

3 dollar bills in his hand and he cant decide
Buy the meds feel well and change his life
Drink will win

Life can be so cruel

I see a kid playing cars beside the road
He is brave by his face you wouldnt know, tear track cheeks
Escapes the fights that he hears when hes back home
So he stays out late playing all alone, toys for friends

They row
She cries
They make up
With his lies,same old song

He asks his mum why his dad wont tell the truth
If he stays will he please stop hurting you
Hidden bruise

Life can be so cruel
.

  • I like it

  • These are some downer lyrics Rob ;) Though you know I think every line is beautiful. The mood and pace of the song matches your story very well. I love the suspended seconds of string crescendo over your soulful piano work. Nice touch towards the finale where the piano exits, your vocals become prominent, then your song ends. bravo ^^ Mary

  • I really like your songs :) this one is great too :) The piano sounds fine :)

  • Haunting song Rob, loving that piano. Such a wonderful song and video, into my favs

  • Exceptional.

  • reminds me of a ryan adams song. good job. =D

  • very somber. good in the way that it made me sad for humanity and the plight of the unfortunate. nice work.

  • A very powerful video/song combo. The piano captures the attention and I really like the drawn out phrasing at the end of each verse line.

    Terrific song.

  • This is really good i like it.

  • great song man....sad ..but really good!!!
