The Longest Day - St.Mere Eglise

One of my favorite scene in the Longest Day when Charlie Company of the 82nd Airborne over shoots their DZ (drop zone) and they land under fire in the town square of St.Mere Eglise. While the fighting goes on Pvt.John Steele is tangled in his parachute hung on to the church watching his fellow paratroopers get killed. I added music and new sound fx.

Unfortunately by putting in the music you have eliminated a crucial part of the scene, the ringing of the church bells. Not all movie scenes need dramatic music. The church bells ringing thoughout the scene makes the scene more intense and powerful than the music.

@carroj9 The Americans screwed up badly during Operation Queen & the Hurtgen offensive too. Market Garden was not the worst by any means & the battle of Scheldt should have taken more priority

It's pretty rare seeing Red Buttons in a serious role like this. His performance in this movie really got me.
