From the moment I saw this piece in the drama. I HAD to find the name of it. I did and searched all over for a version like this one but was unable to find one. Ahjumma's performance was absolutely EXHILARATION and this is going on my mp3. I get chills and tears well up just from listening to this! The passion she put into this piece is explosive~

@physphilmusic Yeah...but what's your point? That's like saying that Tom Cruise was a pathetic fighter pilot in Top Gun. She's an actress with the job of how well she can convey her character and the story, not on how accurately she can imitate a cellist (something that a majority of viewers probably can't tell anyways.) Considering that this was a tv series with each actors only having at MOST a week or two to familiarize themselves with each episode, I would say she did a damn fine job.

@Theamatzu This is a piece of a korean drama called Beethoven Virus (this is the 5th episode) and it's simply amazing

@syaoranpies If you watch the show, you'll see he is THE actor

@physphilmusic yeah, it is pretty obvious that a lot of these people don't play these instruments but you learn to ignore such things, after all, it's not possible to learn how to play an instrument in such a short amount of time. To my knowledge, though, some of the close-ups of the hands were those of an actual cellist and the actress learned how to "play" from her; guess she didn't do such a good job...

i don't know what this is, but that dude is a terrible conductor; guessing he's only a actor?
-
can anyone tell me what this drama was about?

If you are a cellist, you can plainly see that the faking is done pathetically...it's plain obvious, and for many of us, painfully obvious, that the actress isn't really playing. For example, she goes into high positions with a single finger only, without thumb, which is very rare for professional cellists.

the most epic scene in the drama.

Ever since I've seen this in Beethoven Virus, I've wanted to find a version of Libertango played in just this way... but I haven't been able to.
I have, however, come across many other wonderful versions on YouTube alone.
This is still my favorite, hands down.
