No stacked shocks!!! AHA did away with that!!! One shock at a time alternating around 2 minute cycles of CPR with either Epi/Antiarrhythmic med. If you take this test....try your best, dont panic and good luck.

This video is not in date. Do not prepare from it.

yikes! im about to try to get my license back after 9 years inactive. i was watching this, saying everything before he said it, thinkin, "oh yeah, this is gonna be a piece of cake.". now i see this video is like me-- old and obsolete!!

@knpdyeballarice check radial first before carotid will give you a good indication of his systolic BP if he has one.
-
this video is way out of date.. dont even bother watching it.. you will bomb megacode, and any ACLS testing
-
Agreed - stay clear of this video if you are preparing for NREMT-P testing.

I wouldnt use this video for National Registry "practice. Im taking it this Summer 2011 and things are way off because they have changed since this video was taken. No stacked shocks is just one of them. AHA have recently updated the ACLS guidlines months ago which makes this video pretty much obsolete.

Im taking my National Registry Paramedic next week.. Any one have any advice??

@ImMichaelThomas You check the carotid on an unconscious patient first, and then radial if you want. The radial pulse is down stream from the heart, and can be hard to feel in someone who is severely hypotensive. you misread my initial comment for this video. read it again. The way you answered to what I said was assuming that you HAVE to check for a radial on an unconscious patient like that is the only place to check a pulse.

@ImMichaelThomas becuz bluhh you gotta check dat coratid first on an unconscious patient naww mean? A patient could be severely hypotensive and have such a weak radial that you might not be able to feel it. carotid is connected directly to dat aorta and will have a stronger pulse bluhh.

@knpdyeballarice How yu gone know if he don't have a radial if yu dont chek it first mane -___-
FYI, ACLS guidelines no longer recommend stacked shocks.
