Only the Americans can ever come up with this kind of thing.

What a cool tune and arrangement. Love the way that melody crawls around like a snake. I could put it on constant rotate and never get tired of it. Excellent.

hey, i think you are really good. it sounds like a real simple instrumental, but very nice--and although it sounds simple to play, i would never have ever come up with something this great. anyhow, i would love to add my vocal to this, but let's just keep it the way it is, because i don't want to ruin the original. :) thanks for the demos--and other great stuff posted by you!

Thanks for the positive comments so far. If anyone wants to add any vocals that would be cool (I can't sing full stop, never mind in Khmer vocals!)

You've done a really good job capturing the style . I live in Thailand, though I'm from Essex. Have you listened to Thai music from the North East (Esarn area) it is very similar to this I think and has close cultural links with music from Laos( to my ears anyway). It is very different from the Thai music where I live in Chiang Rai in the far north.

Thanks man. I heard a fair bit of 'Mor Lam' when I was traveling through Thailand and Laos and always try and hit an Isaan club whenever I'm in Bangkok. There's definitely a likeness in style to this one. Gotta be careful not to be drawn into a Khmer vs. Thai vs. Laos debate though, I've seen some messy ones on some of the Khmer tracks here on Youtube! It's all good in my view :-)
