Vietnam's Idea of a Stoplight

Visiting Vietnam in 2005 it was shocking to see almost no stop lights or stop signs. The traffic would just come speeding into the intersection and at the last minute slam on the brakes if someone got in there way. I thought for sure that someone would get hit. This was filmed in Hanoi Vietnam. Also note how not a single person is wearing a helmet.

How did it work out for ya?

I am driving forward looking where I am going and looking around trying to see what is around me.

A vehicle is lowing down in front of me and if I continue going in this exact direct, I will get into a collision. I decide to aim my vehicle away from that vehicle and continue driving down a clear path.

There is a vehicle moving that will collide with me later if I don't make the right move to avoid the hit.

An inexperienced driver needs consistent time behind the wheel to learn how to drive safely, which basicly means to drive without crashing into anything/anyone.

I've noticed lately that the adults are wearing helmets but not their small children who stand on the seats. After Jan. 1, 2011 the government says only two persons on a bike. So far it seems few people are following the new rule.
