Sparrowhawk caught a pigeon in our front garden. *Warning: Hawk killed dove, may be considered shocking for some people*

Thank you for watching my video. There have been some comments on the video and not helping the dove. I have given the reason for not intervening and will not explain it again. I did put a warning on the video title and hope that will be enough for future viewers.
With kind regards, Radyhyn

  • Guys the real problem with this world is people! Not Hawks doin what nature intended them to do. The world is full of retards who eat meat but dont kill the animal or see it being killed. They probs live in cities and grow up never having any attachment to nature and then piss and moan when reality hits liike a ton of bricks when they see vids like this. All human meat, is elctrocuted before bein hung up and having the throat cut and bled to death! Wake up retards this is reality and a great vid

  • Now for the bird of prey. Cooper's hawk is just ridiculous! It's a Sparrowhawk, any amateur could tell you that.

    I'll put another £1 000 000 on it being a Sparrowhawk.

ITS A COLLARED DOVE BEING PLUCKED BY A SPARROWHAWK.

    End of.

  • This is getting beyond a joke: People are suggesting Ring necked dove, Turtle dove, etc. It's a collared dove, note the black band/collar around the neck and the otherwise grey body. Typical with a Collared Dove. Also note the size, a wood pigeon can be up to 2x a Sparrowhawk's size and is notably larger.

    I would put £1 000 000 on it. Seriously!

  • To the idiot that is 7mikethebike, it is of course a Sparrowhawk. Who's the dumb kid now? You are.

  • Ok it is a ring necked dove not a pigeon.

  • great footage, this is awsome nature doing its thing.

  • It is a COOPERSHAWK and it's prey is NOT a pigeon but some type of dove(a pigeon is a member of the dove family- but not usually called a dove, not even by scientists). WISE UP u dumb kids.

  • Fantastic video

  • Interesting stuff being said on the TV at the start too... strange it related to what was happening in your back garden.

I am just uploading a simalar vid too, though of a starling you can hardly see :o(

  • Phew its not a pigeon its a collard dove.
