The Kimkins diet scandal received national exposure for the first time ever on FOX-TV's "The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet" on Monday, November 12, 2007.

Representing Kimkins was Jeannie Baitinger, the public relations spokesperson for the diet, and she made some rather stunning admissions about the weight loss scam her boss Heidi Diaz has been perpetrating.

On the other side of the debate was Christin Sherburne and Deni Huttula, both of whom appeared in WOMAN'S WORLD magazine as Kimkins weight loss success stories. But they no longer subscribe to this dangerous diet that Christin describes as "Atkins meets anorexia."

  • That ain't a diet. Laxatives and low calories..That's anorexia and bulimia.

  • You're right, Mr. Radaikon! But sadly there have been tens of thousands of people who have fallen prey to this weight loss scam and are getting hurt by it, too. Hopefully this national exposure will warn others before it's too late.

  • It's a good thing I study health and wellness so I'm fortunate enough to know better. I have friends that have tried to go to extremes to lose weight and always yell at them about it. Grahm crakers and slim fast does not a balanced meal make.

  • AMEN! :D Keep fighting the good fight and sharing from your knowledge and wisdom, my friend. That's what I do on a daily basis.

  • livinlowcarbman, I saw in the comments section that you lost 180 pounds on Atkins. Congratulations!

Just remember that Atkins is not the healthiest for your heart long term, so good luck and stay healthy!

  • THANKS for your comments shmalfie! I appreciate your concern, but I have done plenty of research on the low-carb lifestyle and have all the confidence in the world that it is the healthiest nutritional approach for me to be following. Read GOOD CALORIES, BAD CALORIES by Gary Taubes to find out why. :)

  • The research I've read suggests that carbohydrate is responsible for fatty tissue around the heart not saturated fat. Look up Atkins' death, what you are implying is not true. Of course people will gain back their weight if they permanently go above their personal carb tolerance level. Atkins is not a fad, it's a lifestyle choice. One that sheds fat and IMPROVES health.

  • I try to mimic a hunter gatherer diet. Eating high fat, adequate protein, low carb, while trying to keep the food as natural as possible, and without calorie restriction. This is what works best for me.

Low fat low carbs 500 calories a day is suicide!

  • glad to have found this information - i was just about to pay for this

  • Good job on your video I liked it very much!

  • Ready to night party and meet naughty women **mworld5.info**

  • I have had nothing but success on Kimkins. I really cant say anything bad about it.

  • did anybody ever come up with living a normal live (involving moving their bodies and eating real food)? I know this sounds radical if not impossible, but it might be worth trying. or try methamphetamine, this will actually help, with sideeffects not worse than these diets or legal weightloss pills...

  • Buyer beware, especially with anything advertised online..

  • I thinkf someone telling you to take laxatives as part of your normal diet would be a pretty big clue not to believe her.
