Considering the history of lynching in the South even IF this was a joke this man's actions and anger are justified. Now, it could very well be that it was NOT a joke and he caught them in the act of trying to kill him...and they probably would have claimed he committed suicide. Funny how we always tend to blame the victim, especially when it's a race crime.
