Thanks, we had a backup into our house after a light rain. The city didn't maintain one of the branches properly, but the are not liable for any damage cause it's the "owners responsibility" to have one of these installed. News to me! Now they tell me
Thanks for your help, I think I'm ready to install one now.

I need to install one at my house and you are the only YouTuber to actually show the installation.
If you would answer a few questions it would help me a lot.
Where did you buy the backflow device?
Is rusting and eventual breaking of the hose clamps anything to consider?
Did you put the backflow towards the house and clean-out towards the street?
I don't see any other way to insert it other than the rubber boots cause the two pipes are locked in place. Thanks!

@breezebro great questions.
1) We got the valve at a local plumbing house. We got an ABS valve, but a PVC one would work too. Google: ABS water back flow valve. Amazon carries some too.
2) The clamps are stainless steel which last a VERY long time.
3) Yes. We stopped water from going into the house with the clean out towards the street.
Hope that helps!
