Series creator Doug Wildey calls the show a failed experiment. The entire 2 hour plus documentary is now on Rapidshare for downloading at my blog: http://chriswebber037.blogspot.com/
Chris, thank you for posting this terrific doc. I concur that the animation in Jonny Quest was frequently cheap and sloppy looking, but the draughtsmanship was always impeccible. I remember being bitterly disappointed when the show was replaced with "Combat" in 1965.
That Yeti scene and comment busted me up good. As a huge Flintstones fan as well, I noticed the same similarity. The herd of Yeti running with weapons looked like something out of the Keystone Cops or something. Amazing detail in research and enormous editing time on this documentary are obvious. I have learned so-o much about my favorite show because of it. Thanks for the find and posting all this!
