This is an original program made on the Supernova II keyboard. Make sure you have speakers than can play the low-end sounds well otherwise you wont be able to hear the bass notes.

  • Man that sounds...REALLY GOOD! I can't imagine you liking a micron more than the holy grail, SUPERNOVA, but I guess synths are a personal taste. I've heard that if you know what you're doing, you can get some incredible sounds out of this thing. Would love to have one myself, but even today they cost an arm and a leg.

Anyway, cheers to you. Great video/musician. Really enjoyed it!

Hi, thanks for the comment! I really liked the Supernova II. I picked that one up for 600. Whats great about it is the amount of knobs and parameters, as well as the polyphony. Its also has a really powerful multi-mode. In those departments its much better than the micron. I think micron has more parameters and a more complex modulation matrix so if you aremaking a comparison based on their capacities to produce single programs they are in the same league.

I wrote that I like the micron better just based on playing individual patches. The Supernova is much more digital sounding (I don't mean this in a bad way) an the micron tends to sound more vintage and warm. You dont get so much aliasing with the micron either. I don't like to compare synths unless its for the purpose of deciding which one is worth spending the money on. The Supernova is definatley more fun though!

  • This is great. A lovely sound. And a very impressive looking keyboard. I have just got hold of a micron. I was going to get one anyway but then seeing your little video you did with yours just pushed me on. Really like the stuff your doing.

    All the best,

    memotone

  • The Micron is a much better synth than the Supernova. This was actually the only sound I liked on it. I just sold it and bought a Dave Smith Poly Evolver. It is the best sounding synth I ever owned but still cannot do stuff as complex as the micron.

  • how is its keyboard? its soft and nice or its cheap like so you prefer a quality midi keyboard?

  • what performance patch is that? awesome!

  • Where can I buy a supernova 2 keyboard anyone selling one??! please get back to me asap! Please!

  • I have the Evolver DSI desktop and the sounds are amazing - best synth ;) that I ever tested! but I think that Micron is under Novation Supernova II :) good work here!

  • @Gtechture any chance of a PolyEvolver video in the near future?
