It's not impossible to imagine an infinitely complex and vast collection of physical laws. There are arguments that suggest it's actually more likely that our universe has an infinite number of fundamental forces or "laws of physics". So I think it's a bit early to say that the discovery of the fundamental truths about the universe will come to an end some day :)
