Doom: The Movie: The Game - Custom Map

This is an unreleased Doom 2 map I made back in December of 2004 based on the then-upcoming Doom film (eventually hitting theaters in October of 2005). The premise for this level stemmed from the few key facts known about the movie at the time:

1. It had The Rock and that guy from Lord of the Rings in it.
2. The space marines looked mostly like some generic SWAT type guys.
3. There were no demons or Hellspawn present, only a bunch of zombies infected by some sort of mutant Mars virus.
4. It was heavily rumored that it would be rated PG-13, hence the green blood.
5. There was going to be a guy in a wheelchair named Pinky.

Now before you condemn me for letting this piece sit unreleased on my hard drive for half a decade, I'll tell you what, I 'did' try and release this when I first created it by submitting it to the famed idgames archive. However, it was rejected by the archive's maintainer whose name I've long forgotten (Ty Halderman) because it was supposedly "based on or modified versions of the original levels of any of the id Software games." Just for the record, despite the startling accuracy of my recreation, the map depicted here is NOT an edit of the original E1M1. That is not a joke. This was a painstaking sector-by-sector manual reproduction, and its erroneous rejection still bothers me to this day, prompting me to make this video five years after the fact.
