While this video tries to be sarcastic, I must point out that private police would have to be actually RESPONSIVE to their customers, private water purification already exists and is flourishing (think bottles), imagine the CIA having to make a profit!, the FDA falls flat compared to private insurance procedures, private libraries exist even today, private prosecution for pollution, etc etc etc. No USPS?

Nothing that government does is not done better RIGHT NOW by private efforts. Everything.

Thanks Curt, but I love how all your examples are ridiculous. Bottled water is destroying the planet, sucking water away from places that really need it while giving billions to corporations, AND a lot of it isn't even any cleaner than tap water! Look at the privatized military (think Blackwater) which is not held accountable by any laws, has slaughtered thousands, and continues to profit from the death of innocents. Lovely. You're right. A corporate-owned world is going great!!

Yes, get rid of half of the government programs. They aren't efficient and cost tons of money. Obviously we need to keep the military, police force, roads and fireman.

Did you know that the department of energy was set up by Carter to help ween the US off of the need for foreign oil? Bang up job they did. Now they just absorb billions of dollars--and have no real purpose.

So, this was a mistake - not watching the video, rather, reading the freakin' comments... What, precisely, is wrong with people? There seem to be three rough groups of comment: A) gets the sarcasm, and agrees with this Lee, in broad strokes at least; B) doesn't get it, and "agrees" with the video, or at least they think they do (sigh); C) can't approximate written English closely enough for me to understand what they are trying to say. I weep for the future.

@LeeCamp2 idk where you live but tap water isn't always better. Still, water purifiers would be cheaper if they were mass marketed and water bottles were purchase for their reuse value. Aside from the Fire department I agree the rest can gtfo especially the fucking police.
