@SuperKabewm It wasn't "cruel" it was their religious beliefs they had grown up taught and practicing. They didn't know any better, people bash on them yet we forget the "white europeans" did much the same if not more killings just they didnt sacrifice but they did the same things in the name of "God". Seriously people open your minds more to just "Good and Evil" there is more to it.

I’ve two little Mayan dictionaries and I couldn’t find that word that means ‘almost’. Óol meant ‘heart, will, energy, spirit’—though ‘ool’ was called ‘mind’ elsewhere—. ‘Ak’ could mean ‘last’, or a woman's private bits. You woman's private bits, he might have been saying—but saw it meaning tongue elsewhere—You nearly killed me. But there might be a word like that that means almost. As ‘all’ can be hóol or  láah. Supposedly. Ask a Mayan.
