What the heck was a BNSF train doing in Truckee? I thought that was strictly SP, now UP territory.

BNSF has trackage rigts up there now. They only run like 2 freights a day though, so light traffic for them.

OK, thanks but one more question. Do these trains go through Reno or come down the Feather River Canyon on the old W.P. tracks?

What? The BNSF trains? Well, on occasion you wil see a BNSF train or 2 in Feather, but not often. Like Donner, they only run 2 trains over (that I know of, they may run more now).
