Ken Lewenza doesn't answer questions on Focus Ontario

Between economic collapse and a downturning economy, Ken Lewenza says Canadian auto workers shouldn't have to give up a penny to help sustain the Big Three automakers. On this episode of Focus Ontario, Lewenza is asked - that compared to Toyota and Honda whose wages are debatabley lower than that of the Big Three - shouldn't CAW members accept a cut in pay and/or benefits. He has an answer, but not one to the question.

I know - that is kinda funny. I did see him speak live when I was covering the 25th anniversary of the minivan and I'll say this for him; he's a charismatic speaker and I can see how he would inspire his members.

We need to start voting for politicians that will eliminate NAFTA and other trade agreements that are hurting us. This outsourcing needs to end. America doesn't need to have anything made from a child labor sweat shop. I am tired of the new excuse that Americans just don't do those jobs anymore because it has moved to India or China. America really needs no one. Not even oil if it comes down to it.

Job security?Vote CAW out.Give Ken a pink slip.Toyota employees at Cambridge gave Buzz a slap on the face yrs ago when he tried to unionized them.Did they lose their job security?No,they build another plant in Woodstock &hire more people.Did non-unionToyota employees work in 3rd world factory enviroment?Not at all.They work in state of the art high tech clean facility. Their pay is approx same as CAW's.Actually,big-3's facilities are closer to 3rd world factory enironment compared to Toyota's
