Fans and crew members participate in the "Wave" during the rain delay, as Richard Childress and NASCAR keep a fun lap count and lap times each "Wave" makes.

My goodness... even the fans back then were awesome they would actually sit through rain delays unlike today. I still will but most people now a days simply will not stay if it rains just for a few minutes the fans used to very Sib much more dedicated to the sport back then
