  • Quite good, but couldn´t you have shown the construction/launch photots first? And also, that photo of the Olympic at 0:55, I know why you´ve made it all blurry - because it says "TITANIC" instead of "OLYMPIC" on the bow, it is, of course edited, because TItanic was not painted in white when she was launced.

  • I made it blurry for the effect. If you did not know, Olympic was white and red when she was launched. Red hull and white superstructure

  • Ok, I just saw another version of that photo with the name "OLYMPIC" instead. There is however another version that says "TITANIC".

Nope, (partly) wrong. Below the waterline she was painted in a dark red-brown-ish color. Between the waterline and the superstructure she was painted white. The superstructure was also painted white.

  • And now you should understand that it was for the effect

  • Yes / jajamän. :)

BTW, I have a vid about the Olympic too, watch it if you want.

  • @gladgurkan91 I will take a look at it right away.

  • i really mis ships like here...queen mary 2 is the only ship that is near the olympic at this time

  • @sanderrodijk I never claimed that the Titanic was painted white, as Olympic was.

  • @gladgurkan91 titanic was never white! thats the olympic

  • Many ships in those days, particularly the first in a class, were painted light grey when they were launched because the ship's lines were more clear in the b & w photographs than if they were painted black.
