ok, as far as your bartending goes, you were brilliant, i noticed a few hesitations but as this was a speed test, you would of been focused on speed so not so much focused on the drinks so forgetfulness naturally accures, the exampiner/teacher person was an idiot. are you working in the trade today?

@kyleblake123 I wish I was. Living in San Diego as a white male who is not a model is tough. Especially in this trade. Pretty much every bar out here want a blonde, skinny female. I'me anything but....lol I still think I'd make a hell of a bartender with the right training and someone willing to take a chance on me. I've kept all my written materials in case I go back to Wisconsin. I know I could get a job out there. It depends on their laws though. I'm a convicted felon. Thanks for watching.

@magicmandy89 LOL! I would but it was only $300 for a two week course. I learned a lot about alcohol that, even as a drinker, I hadn't known. Plus I still have my drink cards and workbook along with my notes. Maybe if I ever move back to Chicago, I can find a divebar and practice the trade. Not all was lost as far as money is concerned. It's hard out here in San Diego because I'm not blond, skinny or have a pair of tits.....lol

wow, i feel totally blessed with the school i went to.

Our speed test was 12 drinks in 7 mins. We were told 3 at a time and they didnt tell us if we were messing up or the ingredients.

What kind of judge is judging? No glasses chilled no measure used when it is standing on the bar. ng technique is zero this is a school ? Ask for refund guys.The shaking technique is not even up and down and the boston shaker they have no idea of how to use it . Amigos I laughed a lot thanks hahahahah

@aznvandamm Thanks for the advice. I agree wholeheartedly that this instructor sucked. He was supposed to be a top notch drink slinger too. Maybe someday when the economy improves, I'll be able to find work as a barback and perfect my passion for getting people drunk. :-D

I bartended 10 years and use to work for a bt school. You made some mistakes and the instructor said it was fine. This instructor sucks, I had pride teaching. You're holding the bottles, strainer wrong, pour is off, the school not having enough ice scoopers is a poor excuse, and what was the green stuff in the speed pourer? My advice, get good at top 35 drinks, apprentice job is best, or work at a club like I did and then you'll learn real fast. You can't "practice" at work. Best of luck.
