This is the original version of this pan-African hit, recorded by Festival du Zaire in 1982, with composer Nguashi N'Timbo singing. (It was alter covered by Super Mazembe and Mbilia Bel.) Also features Starzo ya Estha on guitar. Nguashi started out with Baba Gaston, joined Orch Sentima with Sam Manguana in Kinshasa, and even joined OK Jazz for a spell. The title means "It's your problem."

  • Its a wonderful song and album. Kindly post the album MERE MERCHANT which has the four songs MERE MERCHANT, NDOA, AMISI and .........

    BOVRIL

  • This is a confirmation that the original creation is always the best... Nguashi Ntimbo's Shauri Yako is a masterpiece of art

  • woow!! i thought Mazembe were the 1st to do this hit what a surprise nevertheless is a hit song..class

  • I have loved this song in its several versions ever since I heard you play it on the radio a long, long time ago -- <3

  • its such a swit but powerful song-original is the best....long live rumba , i luv it.....great artist nguashi was...ojukwu@islamabad pktn

  • this is a 5* they dont make like this any more ,,,,,,,,,,, thanks alot , wazee wazamani, ,

  • One of the greatest songs of all times!!!

I would pay a lot for a good re-issue on CD!!! Where are Stern's and all those reissue labels ...

  • That this is the original should help those who insist that Mazembe was the first to do the song. Nguasi Ntimbo had to go to Nairobi to sort out the copy right issues when Mazembe did a cover for the song. Mazembe apparently never did a successful album after aping festival du zaire.

  • Thank you very much for posting this superb track. I have been looking for a CD of it for years as all I had up to now was a crackling, poorly recorded cassette. Thanks again!

  • The original shauri yako asante sana
