John Lee Hooker played Delta Blues, in his own inimitable style. John Jr. is going his own way with the Chicago sound. People want him to be his dad, but he's obviously going his own way. Good for him.

I find it funny that people who probably can't even play music are flaming this guy for not being his father. If you want to hear his dad, then leave the "JR" off your youtube search and take your hate elsewhere.

@ChallengersDeep - true but daddy wasn't born the king. he had to polish his skills too

@FrankVPhoto I find this a bit sad. His father was great, but jr has a different sound. You must also remember, Senior made his music decades ago, no wonder the sound changes. I find this song quite good!

Love the video. I am a huge fan of the Blues and I am only 27 years of age and I was inspired by guys like Albert King, John Lee Hooker, Howlin Wolf, and Jimi Hendrix. I think that his son John Lee Hooker Jr. is the truth. I have to check out the whole album to see what he is working with. Killer Song and Guitar work. Classic Chicago and Delta Blues. Well Done.

I give him credit for not going the route of modern hip hop, r & b, "rock" etc., but this is too slick, too overproduced. Guess the old days are over.
