  • @Ignitionnet companies do that all the time - they lay off workers from one section and hire them in another.

  • @WesSeid You're not taking it far enough.

The government needs a Ditch Digger and a Ditch Filler. It also needs a Supervisor, who deals with a plethora of regulators each of whom ensure the hole can be dug (archeologist, electrical, pipes, etc.). The Gov also needs an environmental study to make sure animals/plants won't be hurt. The Sprvsr needs a boss to deal with politicians and the media. Oh, and of course you need a Parliament to vote to make the hole in the first place.

  • @Ignitionnet Full employment via government spending is easy. Government pays one person to dig a hole, and then it pays another person to fill it back in.

Works great until government runs out of other people's money.

  • how many millions due to be wasted on the Orwell propaganda house when taxpayers are struggling to pay household bills?

  • @Ignitionnet Marta is as much an Iron Lady as Thatcher was. I do admire her. They don't like the truth, do they?

  • @swbk2345 How very typical. You post an anti-EU message and it gets flagged as spam. Fairly typical for the EU and their proponents. Silence criticism where possible, otherwise ignore it, but never, ever lose focus on the end objective however misguided it may be and however valid the criticism may be.

  • One part of that answer stood out. Taking workers who aren't useful and moving them elsewhere where they are apparently useful. Sounds to me like employing people for the sake of employing them. If people were needed in those new functions they'd have already been hired and be carrying them out.

  • Marta, you are a heroine but I'm afraid the EU is as corrupt as a third world Dictatorship. They are incapable of managing money and are throwing taxpayers money around without accounting for it. European Taxpayers should know where every cent has gone.

We need out of this club...
