@kuhj278 Google proof of noah's flood and it should be the fourth one down (Scientific Evidence for a Worldwide Flood).
-
@kuhj278 Of course they would! They choose not to believe it, but I too oppose religion! For this you have to understand that the flood didn't have to take place in the whole world, it could've just taken place where Noah and his family lived. As the world, there are 18 evidences of either massive flooding or erosion, with either extremely rapid layering of strata, or direct evidence which were found in numerous places on virtually every continent

@coach8401 If what you say is true then scientists wouldn't say it's all bullshit just for the sake of opposing religion. I find it very hard to believe that the bible contains any historical facts, things like the nativity we know are bullshit, we know that not all first-born in Egypt died and we know that there was no worldwide flood that killed all but a handful people and animals. If you could give any example(s) that'd be great

@kuhj278 Sorry misread your comment. Any geologist would disagree with me on the scientific evidence, you meant. It just baffles me that something happens, then scientists have an explanation that every million years or so that particular incident takes place. As for the bible that has the best historical documents and proven by historical standards and archaelogical standards with over 3,000+ facts, but scientists say that's not plausible?
-
@coach8401 ''what you told me was that 50% of geologists whould disagree with me showing that there is no single hand evidence showing that asteroids'' I never said that. Also you don't believe that there's any evidence for this theory and therefore you don't believe it. That is different from actually looking at the evidence and making reasonable assumptions based on that evidence instead of dismissing it all as faith without even looking into it.
-
@kuhj278 Because! I said, this is what was taught to me (meaning, this is why I don't take it for true and thus far, don't 100% trust ALL scientific theories), and what you told me was that 50% of geologists whould disagree with me showing that there is no single hand evidence showing that asteroids helped eradicate 50% of all life forms. I said the same thing, in a simpler way. Basically, some theories I'll accept and some I won't.
-
@coach8401 How exactly did I just prove your point?
-
@lasseplatburk You're right, science is science and creation is faith. Science is looking for how stuff works, as creationism shows how one should live spiritually and morally. As for science being defined as evidence, most theories are not flat fact. Gravity, air, etc... are, but how life began, how we came about, etc... is not. That's just basic belief which isn't even proven in the fossil record proving evolution, it is just a thought.
-
@kuhj278 ??? I think you got this mixed up! I'm saying this is the theory I grew up with (scientifically) being taught in the school system. So you just proved my point. I'm just saying, Also, in regards to the asteroids killing 50% of all life forms, where does this come from? A majority of life forms have been killed by humans, which populate an area, and there's proof of that today. As for known geologists, I know my wife's dad, my pastor, an uncle, and 2 friends who are geologists.
-
@coach8401 Any geologist would disagree with you. Saying that there's no scientific evidence that the earth was hit by one or more asteroids about 65 million years ago that helped eradicate 50% of all life on earth just shows that you haven't really looked into it. Just google ''evidence for exctinction of dinosaurs'' and you will find many people who can explain it better than I
I've noticed that whenever Dawkins is dealing with ignorant comments of nonsense, he tends to blink rapidly. I would only guess he's trying to keep the spray of Bullshit out of his eyes.

Teach religion in Church.
Teach science in school.
Is that too difficult to ask?
