This is my 3 DOF motion platform to be used with flight simulator X using simconnect SDK. It is a DIY project that consist in home build wood mobile platform with 3 gear actuators. My platform controller is communicating via USB with my host PC 4 DOF Motion Control software. This video is a software and motion platform test demonstration of my project.

  • very very nice! it's a good job. Can you tell me, how many amps take heave (translation movement) on your configuration? i think 40-50, isn't?

  • Yes, the maximum peak current can reach higher than 50 A but I need to limit it because my motor drives can not handle this current and my power supply is limited to 56. I really like your virtual video. How can you get so beautiful scenes with FSX? Are these an add on scene you made?

In flightsimulatorx forum you can download free, a lot of photoscenery for fsx, for example tuscany and Elba or sicily photoreal. They are fantastic...and free!

  • Very nice! The complete control system seems to be working smoothly. There is some yaw oscillation after quick roll movements. You could reduce that by increasing the stiffness of center post and the partial sarrus at the rear, or add an extra sarrus at the front.

    Overall, well done!
