This isn't, and should never have been about, left/right. Dem/Rep paradigms; and it certainly isn't about allowing the interest of certain groups - the interest of which, politicians routinely use to garner support; e.g. abortion and gay rights. It's about everyones rights and limiting govt to such an extent that it can no longer interfere where is has no business.

And it certainly isn't about voting for whom has a better chance of winning; for it is this sort of distorted logic, in part, that finds us where we are today.
