A collection of videos I recently took, along with some 'rare' photos of Conneaut Lake Park in operation from the last few years. Hope you enjoy! *Ignore me mumbling to myself.*
I went there in October for their 8 Levels of Horror for Halloween and the park just gave me the chills. I definitly looks negelected and old. It gives me goosebumps just thinking about how the park used to be filled with people and now their is nobody there...I rides were the creepiest park, run down, the paint was chipping, rusty......the empty seats. The perfect place for hallloween entertainment.
This was even worse than Geauga Lake, where I worked for two summers in the '70s. The vibe here was totally evil. I saw Rubber City Rebels play here outdoors one day, realized I had to leave the USA forever, there was no hope. I wasn't even paid by the hour at GL, I basically had to turn tricks for this boss who hit on all us females. I saw horrible accidents, and fathers abusing their wives and kids. Eating the food gave me ulcers and I was fired with no warning for taking 1 day off.
I worked for the Park from 72 to 77 making some "guest appearances" in subsequent years. Even this story is too long...and I have far too many stories to tell. Had the delightful job or returning to the Park to tend (upstairs) bar at the Hotel in 2010.

Too many stories come to mind as I watch this.
