Here's an analogy: Think of these SSDs as rechargeable batteries - With life cycles. The more you use them, the faster they degrade. Daily tasks such as cut, copy & paste use up these life cycles.

However by using TRIM, these life cycles can be restored, giving the storage device back it's performance.

Here's the twist, TRIM doesn't support the Raid 0 configuration & this laptop uses it. So you're basically sacrificing unrecoverable lifespan for performance, on monthly basis.

  • Does this laptop come with 3.0 USB ports???

  • @2000pcman Did the calculations, thats about 165DPI. (165.632118)

  • @carlonchox911

why would you need to trim it?

  • Awesome machine!

  • There are 3 VIAO Zs

    VAIO Z - VPCZ115GG - 1600x900

    VAIO Z - VPCZ126GG - 1600x900

    VAIO Z - VPCZ117GG - 1920x1080

  • well, as they say in the video.. its 1920x1080 on the new screen.. ?

  • its not 1080p. it has 1600x900 resolution

  • 1080p in a 13" Laptop? :O! HOw much DPI is that?

  • @carlonchox911 I'm thinking of custom ordering with the cheapest HDD so I can replace it with an intel SSD w/ TRIM
