i guess its different for everybody, but America is the place where she trained, grew up, and given her the opportunity to goto the olympics, and she spends more time in america and knows more about america than russia i guess thats why she feels american....

A772187 What most Americans are against is ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. Nastia's parents came to the US from Russia LEGALLY. Nastia and her parents have been US citizens for years now. Her win was well done and highly deserved.

There's something I don't understand, and please do not get me wrong, but If my parents are russians, were born in Russia and I accidentally bear in China that would become russian anyway, it's hard to believe Nastia feels american when her all heritage is russian.. I know you belong where you were born.. but I don't know.
