  • @noahf67 I don't remember why I added the Vol 1. I hope I didn't give you false hope. This clip is all I have, courtesy of Howard Parker, and I don't know of any other material from the show.

  • @noahf67 Hey Noah, Yes, there was no Vol 1... this is it and it's not on DVD. You can see another post I did below about Johnny and the singers. If you enjoy singing groups, there are also videos of my group THE ESTABLISHMENT from THE JOHNATHAN WINTERS TV SHOW. Howard

  • @ovnvideos Hi Lenny, Johnny and the singers had their first reunion put together by Mike Redman (one of the singers) in May, 2010 in Palm Springs. John had already left P.S. but he and his wife Betty returned for the reunion. A great time was had my all and I (now in San Diego) was so happy to be able to attend. Johnny was and is such a great guy. We had a ball on the show!!! Howard

  • Now THIS is the good stuff! The only thing that comes close to being "a very contemporary NOW" kind of sound like Johnny created are the Dicey and Paprika versions of "Born to be Wild" and "Everyday People."

  • Yes, Thurl was Tony the Tiger. I was the audio engineer on all the Stand Up and Cheer shows and the album, and did two Kellogg's commercials with Thurl as the voice of Tony, I found Johnny a couple of years ago. He's retired in Palm Springs. Great guy. The producer, Jerry Frank, was also a great guy. He died a few years ago. Sad. Lenny Roberts, Ojai

  • FYI, the gentleman (singer) with the grey hair and mustache, who Howard Parker briefly mentions as Thurl, is the lateThurl Ravenscroft voice of "Tony The Tiger" and singer of the cartoon version of "You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch".

  • Every time I ask anyone if they remember "Stand UP Cheer" they look at me like I have three heads. For a while I was beginning to think I just dreamed this show up. Thanks so much for posting this. I knew this show existed!!!
