An amazing rendition of Bob Dylan's hit. This song is probably the #1 most covered song by Bob Dylan. Jimi Hendrix, U2, The Grateful Dead, and Eddie Vedder & The Million Dollar Bashers are just a few of the artists that have covered this amzing song.

  • @TheBenkrasa Probably you never listened to the Dylan's version, or, a step below, to Jimi Hendrix's one

  • One of the Covers of this Song i like most, it is ba Gladys Knight

  • @jonlemaar I know Dylan wrote it but Hendrix made it famous. I like Bob Dylan dont get me wrong but his performance compared to Jimi's pales in comparison.

  • @TheBenkrasa And that is because it has absolutely nothing to do with Hendrix. DYLAN!!!

  • @PBstratocaster Hendrix does have a killer rendition, but i think folks attribute it to being the best because its the first version they heard. It does have some good guitaring for the time and has a good flow as far as energy, but something about DMB version seems more intense the way it builds up. One thing i can say about this song is that it is an awsome tune and have yet to hear a 'bad' version.

  • @TheBenkrasa

You are so right on about the Dave Matthews live rendition...totally fuckin out there

  • @TheBenkrasa Its a matter of taste. Dave Mathews "sitting around the campfire" intro, ending up ( live at least ) with some "modern crescendo repetitions" with only energy is not my perception of the piece.

In the rockguitarbusiness where every guitarist wrecks the pentatonic scale, only to sound alike, Jimi did a futuristic notebending never heard before, or since.

What Bob Dylan and I agree uppon, is that Jimis version stands as the art of style.

  • @pbstratocaster man as much as it kills me to say this.....Dave Mathews Band totally brings the song to another level..

  • Zero Dislikes!! W00T!!!

  • JESUS CHRIST
